New Hampshire Boys State
"A week that shapes a lifetime!"
American Legion Boys State is among the most respected and selective educational programs of government instruction for U.S. high school students. The week-long program gathers young men from across the state to participate in the mock operation of local, county, and state government. American Legion Auxiliary sponsors a separate but similar program for young women called Girls State.
Why Boys State?
Alumni from Boys State and Boys Nation have gone on to attend some of the most prestigious universities across the country. Many continue to make a difference in their communities as leaders in education, business, law, the military, and elected office. No matter what one decides to make of his life, the Boys State experience will inspire life-long service, strength of character, and moral courage.
